LAKE HAVASU, AZ - An 8-year-old Cottonwood girl was killed while boating on Lake Havasu when she fell off a pontoon boat rented by her family and was struck by a propeller.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says Sarah Roderick was killed Monday while boating with her parents and siblings.
According to Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter, the accident happened around 3:40 p.m.
Authorities said the victim was wearing a life vest. She was transported to shore where she was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
