FLAGSTAFF, AZ - A storm moving through Arizona is leaving its mark around the state Wednesday.

It's been raining in parts of the Valley since overnight, snowing in the high country.

The Flagstaff Unified School District has canceled classes for the day due to current and predicted weather conditions.

Northern Arizona University has closed its campus, canceling classes and closing offices for the day.

A National Weather Service forecast released Wednesday morning predicts up to 6 inches of snow in Flagstaff and Prescott and up to 9 inches of snow in Payson on Wednesday.

Payson schools are also closed for the day, according to the school district.

Show Low District schools have also been canceled, according to the district's website.

Pine-Strawberry schools are closed for the day, according to a school phone recording.

The Department of Public Safety says Interstates 17 and 40 and State Route 89 have already gotten 2 inches of snow.

Road conditions are said to be snowpacked and icy. Visibility is reported to be about 100 feet on State Route 89, DPS says.
