FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Flagstaff police are investigating a possible attempted armed robbery in which a suspect is accused of threatening a bicyclist with a weapon.

According to Flagstaff police Sgt. James Jackson, a woman told officers a man threatened her and demanded her money near Agassiz Street and Cottage Avenue on Tuesday.

The female told police she had been riding her bicycle in the area, when she stopped to talk to someone she thought she knew.

When she realized the man was threatening her, she told police she hopped back on her bicycle and rode away from the area.

She described the suspect as Hispanic, in his 30’s, with a blue plaid shirt over a black shirt and jeans.
