FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Most people can't wait to leave jail, but one northern Arizona inmate has been charged with trespassing after refusing to leave the Coconino County lockup.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports 44-year-old Martin Batieni Kombate was arrested in Flagstaff last week for trespassing and was scheduled for release Monday on his own recognizance on the charge.

But when detention officers from the Coconino County Sheriff's Office showed up to escort him out, Kombate allegedly said he wasn't leaving and was staying.

A police report says a Flagstaff Police Department officer was called over to speak to Kombate.

When the officer approached the cell, Kombate said he wouldn't go because he didn't know where his wallet was.

Detention officers continued to tell Kombate he was being released and ask him to leave, but Kombate refused four additional times.
