FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Flagstaff police say DNA evidence indicates that the same man committed two rapes of women who were attacked as they left the downtown bar district at night.
Police say the attacks occurred six months apart. The latest took place July 21, six months after the other took place on Jan. 18.
The Arizona Daily Sun reports that the suspect's DNA profile has been entered into national and statewide databases in order to identify the suspect.
Police say additional officers are patrolling the downtown area in the early morning hours.
Police also are working with Northern Arizona University police to notify students about the crimes.
