SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A 10-year-old girl in the Valley faces a long road to recovery after she was diagnosed with brain cancer in September, and her family is asking for your well wishes.
On Saturday, ABC15 met up with family and friends of Kallie Rebholz of Scottsdale who put together a lemonade stand to help her.
Kallie had an operation to remove part of her cancerous tumor and started chemotherapy treatments at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in October, according to family friends.
Kallie was progressing well until a major setback in January, when she suffered septic shock from an infection and ultimately had her right leg amputated.
Her family is also asking people to share their personal stories and well wishes with Kallie, so that she doesn’t feel like she’s facing it all alone.
If you would like to send Kallie a message, you can log on to PurpleLetter.org , write a letter, and add Kallie’s address to “My Personal Address Book”.
7349 N. Via Paseo Del Sur, Suite 515-98
Scottsdale, AZ 85258
When you use promotion code “KALLIE” at checkout, the letter will be sent at no cost. They're hoping for at least 500 letters.
You can also donate to Kallista Rebohlz at Chase Bank under account number 2987196157.
