SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A wanted sex offender was arrested Thursday morning in Scottsdale.
According to Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark, the man barricaded himself in an apartment near 78th Street and Indian School Road.
Members of the US Marshall’s Child Predator Apprehension Team attempted to serve an arrest warrant on the suspect just after 6:00 a.m. at the apartment but he refused to leave.
Authorities made entry into the house at 9:15 a.m and the suspect was arrested after a brief struggle.
The suspect was treated by ambulance at the scene after he ingested an unknown drug.
No one was injured in the barricade.
