SCOTTSDALE, AZ - At the Millenium Resort in Scottsdale over 4th of July weekend, a room will cost you $100.
But, the Millenium will give you that much back in food or beverage credit, making your stay practically free.
"I think there are some great deals at Valley hotels and resorts, it's every bit as good as last year," said Debbie Johnson, President of Arizona's Hotel and Lodging Association .
Johnson says with the fallout from Senate Bill 1070, convincing Arizonans to take a staycation this Fourth of July is as important as ever.
The Valley's resorts, Johnson says, are doing what they can to keep you from boarding a plane.
"These are rates we can't get in January, February or March when everyone else comes," said Johnson. "This is the time to take advantage and do all the fun things as well."
At the Phoenician Resort , stay one night, get the second half off.
The resort is also giving away prizes as part of Fiesta Friday in conjunction with the launch of the new Relish Burger Bistro, a more casual dining option that's kid friendly.
"It's a great way to have a staycation," said Executive Chef Paul Carter. "Stay at The Phoenician, enjoy the pool, have a great burger and relax."
"Staycations are as strong as they've ever been and we expect that to continue," said The Phoenician's Food and Beverage Director Mac Gregory.
At the Royal Palms resort, they'll also give you a food and beverage credit for each night you stay.
You'll get $50 per night to spend at the famous T Cook's restaurant, $200 if you stay three nights.
"These are deals you can't find anywhere else," said Johnson. "Now is the time, as the economy rebounds you won't see these rates."
