SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Scottsdale police announced on Tuesday morning they have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in her Scottsdale apartment on Saturday.
According to Scottsdale police spokesperson Mark Clark, authorities on Monday were able to forensically link 23-year-old Daryl Donovan Cole Jr. to the incident.
According to Clark, authorities were able to locate Cole in Tempe on Monday night without incident.
According to a Scottsdale police report, the victim said she’d just returned home on Saturday and before she could lock her door Cole forced his way into her apartment near 78th Street and Camelback Road.
He then began to assault the victim as she tried to fight him off.
Cole then sexually assaulted the woman before he fled out a patio door.
The victim was injured from the assault but did not require hospitalization, according to police.
