SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Authorities say a Scottsdale surgeon is accused of stealing medicinal cocaine from a surgical business.
Scottsdale police say Dr. Paul Holden allegedly broke into the North Valley Surgical Center on July 9. He was arrested two days on suspicion of burglary.
Police say Holden allegedly stole five boxes of medicinal cocaine after surgery center staffers counted their inventory and came up short. They reported damage to the lock on the cabinet holding the drugs.
A cleaning woman told authorities that Holden asked her for help opening the pharmacy door, saying he didn't have the keys.
Holden was later identified on video surveillance footage. It's unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
