Scottsdale man who lost daughter on 9/11 says victims of CT shooting should be with loved ones

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - A Scottsdale man who lost his daughter in the World Trade Center on 9/11 said the families of the victims in the Newtown, Connecticut shooting should surround themselves with loved ones.

“One who has never been through it has no way of understanding,” Bill Keasler told ABC15.

“Losing a child is just unbelievably hard,” he said, “and things like today bring all of that back.”

Keasler’s daughter, Karol Ann Keasler, died at age 42 while working inside the World Trade Center.

The woman, who grew up in Casa Grande, had plans to move to Russia with her fiance before she died.

Keasler told ABC15 he learned of Friday’s tragedy as most Americans did, watching television.

“You can’t control the grief at times and you just want to lay down and die to get away from it,” Keasler said. “You just feel so bad for those whose lives were taken for no reason whatever.”
