A video that recently went viral apparently stars a Scottsdale resident and the heartwarming struggle to save a drowning baby bear in Alaska.

The video, which can be seen on YouTube, ABC News and a variety of other media outlets, shows the ordeal that involves a group of fishermen getting stuck in the same whirlpool that almost claims the life of the crying baby bear.

Charlie Mettille of Scottsdale captured the rescue on his cell phone.

ā€œI’m thinking, man, I will never see this again in my life,ā€ Mettille told ABC15.

The fishermen are eventually pushed closer to the terrified baby bear, allowing them the chance to push him to slower waters to reunite with his family.
