SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Authorities say a woman has been found dead in her Scottsdale apartment after a police barricade the night before.
The name of the woman wasn't immediately released Wednesday.
Scottsdale police say a fight apparently broke out between a woman and her mother at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
As police were en route, the mother fled the Barolo Place apartment and the daughter stayed inside and refused to leave.
Officers attempted to negotiate with her to come out of the apartment. When that proved unsuccessful, police left the scene.
Police say they got an order to get a psychiatric evaluation for the woman and returned Wednesday morning.
SWAT team officers entered the apartment about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday and found the woman dead.
Police say their investigation into the death is continuing.
