SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The westbound lanes of the Loop 101 in Scottsdale are open after officials say the driver struck a median wall on Loop 101 and rolled his vehicle into a motorcyclist.
Westbound Loop 101 was closed from Hayden to Scottsdale Road while crews investigated the crash.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Carrick Cook says several people called 911 to report an erratic driver, but before police arrived, the man struck a median wall and rolled his vehicle into a motorcyclist.
DPS is conducting tests on the driver to see if impairment was a factor in the crash.
The motorcycle rider was airlifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn with serious injuries.
