PHOENIX - A man is recovering Sunday after being attacked by a person with a machete in west Phoenix.
Police said the attack happened near 35th Avenue and Buckeye around 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
The man was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital with cuts to his arms and head, but is expected to survive.
There is no word on what prompted the attack.
Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
