SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - It's a house like you probably have never seen before. But, you can call it "home" in North Scottsdale if you're the highest bidder.

The house was originally built in 2002 for $12 million. It was previously owned by the retired president of University of Phoenix.

Grand Estates Auction Company specializes in multi-million dollar homes. It’s putting this one-of-a-kind 15,000 square foot mansion on the auction block February 7. But, Pat Kirby, Senior Marketing Consultant, says don't be fooled, because this isn't a foreclosure.

The idea is to market this house locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, bring together as many buyers as possible and set the market price for the home,” Kirby says.

This home boasts many unique features...

"We've got eight bedrooms, nine full baths, and three half baths," Kirby says. "We've got a 4,700 square foot gymnasium with a wooden basketball court.  We have a 300 foot zip line. We have a pool like you've never seen before with a 10 person spa, an infinity edge pool, and entertainment pavilion. We've got an observatory. You go upstairs there's a retractable roof that opens up, you can star gaze at night, or look at the distant mountain views from that point up there. So, there are a lot of unique aspects to this home you won't find anywhere else.”

There's no minimum bid and the owner has to take whatever the highest bidder offers. But, keep in mind, you have to come to the auction with a $100,000 certified check, be able to put down a full 10% deposit, and then close within 30 days.
