PHOENIX - A ring of criminals who made a living stealing people’s identities is out of work and facing a total of 107 years in prison according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
According to MCAO, the ring was first discovered when one of the members was pulled over for a traffic violation and officers discovered the vehicle had been fraudulently rented.
During that traffic stop, Scottsdale Police discovered telephone memo slips containing names, credit card numbers, and PIN numbers that had apparently been stolen from a telemarketing firm.
An eight month investigation followed that led to the arrest of eight other people.
Those nine defendants were sentenced to a total of 107 years.
Here are the names of the suspects and the time they will serve according to a news release issued by the county attorney’s office:
Anthony J. Merrick, 44 - 35 years
Christopher S. Milazzo, 42 -18 years
David B. Baxter, 50 - 15 years
Dominick J. Hurley, 49 - 10 years
Dan F. Sullivan, 28 - 9.5 years
Julia M. Franzen, 41 - 9.25 years
Eve M. Ford, 44 - 8.5 years
Theresa A. Snell, 44 - 1.5 years
Erin L. Stevens, 26 - 6 months
