3 arrested after Scottsdale Apple Store burglary

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Three people have been arrested after an Apple Store in north Scottsdale was broken into and merchandise stolen.

According to a Scottsdale police report, the suspects smashed the front door of the store located near Scottsdale Road and Greenway Parkway at 2:15 a.m. Monday, removing computer and electronic merchandise.

Police said a cab driver followed the suspect vehicle out of the Scottsdale Quarter and south along Scottsdale Road when the suspects began shooting at him from the fleeing vehicle.

The driver was not injured.

With information from the cab driver and Scottsdale Quarter security, police began a ground and air search for the suspects.

The suspect vehicle was located in northeast Phoenix with crime-related evidence inside.

Police found 19-year-old James Combs and a 17-year-old male in the neighborhood.

Eighteen-year-old Daniella Sierra was taken into custody at a business in the area.

Police say the total loss was estimated between $70,000 to $80,000 in merchandise and damage to the store.

Some merchandise was recovered.

The three suspects, all Mesa residents, were booked into the Scottsdale City Jail for various felony burglary and weapons charges.
