FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ - Dozens of supporters of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio walked in Fountain Hills Saturday.
A news release said the "peaceful, positive" walk aimed to recognize all the sheriff has done for Maricopa County.
Organizer Andi Bell noted that Arpaio has been re-elected four times, is an Army veteran, an advocate for animal rights, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Marchers carried signs supporting Arpaio, who has been criticized for immigrations sweeps throughout the Valley.
