FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ - Authorities have cleared the scene where a suspicious package was found at the Fountain Hills location of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
MCSO Sgt. Brandon Jones said posse members found what appeared to be an Improvised Explosive Device, described as a rectangular package with nails sticking out of it. It also had an antenna and batteries, according to Jones.
The package was found on a flat bed trailer located at the back of the property.
Jones said the package was found around 3:30 p.m.
Jones said a bomb squad x-rayed the device and found it was a fake. It apparently fell from a playhouse that was on the back of the trailer and was a toy made by children.
