CAREFREE, AZ - Property and tax records show the Oklahoma oral surgeon accused of unsanitary practices owns a second home in Arizona.
The residence in the mountains north of Phoenix is in an area of upscale homes in Carefree.
Nobody was at home Saturday at the low-slung, 1950s-style vacation home, across from the tony Boulders Resort. But neighbors say they have seen a lot of activity in recent weeks.
The Oklahoma Board of Dentistry says Dr. Scott Harrington may have put patients at risk for exposure to hepatitis and HIV . It's urging thousands of his patients to get tested for the viruses.
An old friend of Harrington says she can't believe the allegations against him.
Suzy Horton told The Associated Press Saturday that Harrington removed two of her wisdom teeth in the early '90s. She says Harrington is very professional and sends her a card every Christmas even though she hasn't seen him in years.
Horton now lives in Phoenix, but she used to live in the Carefree, Ariz., home that Harrington later bought from her ex-husband.
Since the news broke, The Associated Press had not been able to reach Harrington.
