Local vacation rental makes national list

CAVE CREEK, AZ - Travel website TripAdvisor has named "10 Great U.S. Vacation Rental Amenities," and one of them is right here in the Valley.

A rental home in Cave Creek was among the 10 in the TripAdvisor list for its backyard putting green.

Amenities are a big factor when it comes to vacation rentals, according to a survey by TripAdvisor, which revealed 42 percent of travelers chose a rental due to a particular amenity.

At the top of the list was access to a full kitchen, followed by Wi-Fi access and outdoor patios.

"When making the decision to stay at a vacation rental, amenities are often a key consideration for travelers," said Hank Hudepohl, director of vacation rentals at TripAdvisor in a news release. "Vacation homes offer guests a wide range of unique and fun amenities -from their own private section of paradise or a movie theater all their own - to make their lodging a full part of their travel experience."

Other rental amenities in the list include the game rooms at Tropical Retreat in Kissimmee, FL, and private beach access at the Provincetown Gem in Provincetown, MA.
