YUMA, AZ - Authorities say a Yuma High School teacher has been arrested in a child pornography case.

Yuma police announced Tuesday that 37-year-old Michael A. Cox was booked Tuesday into the Yuma County Adult Detention Facility. He's being held on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation about a month ago and Yuma police assisted with the execution of a search warrant.

Detectives seized several electronic media devices and they say Cox was found in possession of pornographic images of children on his computer.

A call to Yuma High about how long Cox has been employed at the school and what subject he teaches wasn't immediately returned.

Police didn't know whether Cox has a lawyer for his case.
