YUMA, AZ - A Yuma man was arrested in connection with sexual conduct with a minor and cases of bestiality.
According to a news release, on July 2, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding a pre-employment screening in which they found possible criminal activity.
Yuma County Sheriff’s Office began a criminal investigation of the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Cody Slaughter from Somerton, Arizona.
Slaughter was interviewed and reportedly admitted that he molested a 2-year-old girl eight years ago and had sexual interaction with several species of animals.
Slaughter also admitted to a history of drug use, according to the release.
Investigators found multiple pieces of evidence linked to his statements.
Slaughter was booked into the Yuma County Jail for one count of sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of bestiality from 2004 to present.
