YUMA, AZ - Authorities say a suspect in a drive-by shooting in Yuma now is in custody.
Yuma police say Tyre Hendrix of Yuma was arrested Monday after he turned himself at the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
Hendrix allegedly fired several shots from a car early Sunday morning in central Yuma.
Sheriff's deputies spotted the car and gave chase, but the driver jumped out and ran away as the car crashed into a canal.
Police say the driver escaped and nobody was injured in the incident.
They say witnesses identified Hendrix as the suspect in the case.
Police say he's in his early 20s. They don't immediately know if Hendrix has a lawyer yet.
