YUMA, AZ - Yuma County sheriff's deputies have arrested two Yuma residents after they found three pounds of methamphetamine in a car they stopped for speeding in a construction zone.

Capt. Eben Bratcher says the deputies made the stop west of the Marine Corps Air Station Tuesday night. A sheriff's canine was brought in to check the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs. A search found the meth.

Deputies arrested 26-year-old Jose Pablo Vargas and 25-year-old Ana Sanchez Moreno for possession of drugs for sale and two other drug charges. It's unclear if Vargas and Moreno have lawyers yet.
