YUMA, AZ - Authorities say a Yuma high school was evacuated for a bomb threat Thursday.
Yuma police Sgt. Clint Norred said in a news release that Kofa High School staff evacuated students and faculty approximately 20 minutes before normal school release time, just after 2 p.m.
The Yuma Police Department and a United States Marine Corps Ordnance Disposal Team K-9 searched the campus for any suspicious packages.
Norred said no injuries were reported and the initial inspection of the campus revealed no suspicious packages.
Police personnel remained on scene to conduct an investigation.
