YUMA, AZ - Yuma County Sheriff’s deputies have found the body of a California man who had been fishing on Lake Mittry.
Deputies and border patrol agents located the body of Frank Wallace, 66, around 11 a.m. on Wednesday during a search of the lake. Wallace’s friend called the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office after Wallace failed to return from his fishing trip.
The friend told deputies he found Wallace’s vehicle at the main boat dock.
Deputies found Wallace’s boat partially submerged with his personal belongings just east of the boat dock. Divers didn’t find Wallace’s body until the second day of searching.
