YUMA, AZ - U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a 17-year-old Mexican citizen for smuggling bundles of marijuana into Arizona Sunday.
Around 7 p.m., Border Patrol agents began investigating the illegal entry of an individual riding a bicycle near the Colorado River.
Agents reportedly tracked the bicycle's tire tracks and located the teen in brush along the river.
Agents arrested the juvenile and seized a backpack full of 30 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $24,000.
Officials say the teen was arrested just last week for illegally entering the country with 27 pounds of marijuana.
Border Patrol agents turned the juvenile and the marijuana over to the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force.
