WICKENBURG, AZ - The Wickenburg Sun got an unwanted visitor from above last week.

"It was a typical Wednesday, pretty quite," said Wickenburg Sun Production Manager Juan Jimenez.

While working on the weekly paper, Jimenez didn't think his newsroom would actually become the news instead of simply reporting it.

On Wednesday, police surrounded the Wickenburg building looking for a burglary suspect.

"And we realized the guy was going up on our roof," said Jimenez.

The suspect, Justin Duran, didn't stay on the roof long. He reportedly jumped through a skylight, fell through the roof, right into the paper's newsroom.

"That's when i heard a bang. I honestly thought he was going to be laying down, but he was trying to get out, looking for an exit," said Jimenez.

Jimenez says he came face to face with Duran.

"That's when he saw me and I saw him and he said 'Sorry about your ceiling sir,' or something like that," said Jimenez.

Duran tried to hide inside the building, but police arrested him soon after that, stopping the chase across several rooftops.

"It's always dangerous when someone flees from the police, it creates a risk for the public, it creates risk for the officers trying to pursue him and place him into custody," said Ken Lutkiewicz with the Wickenburg Police Department.

Now that it's over, Jimenez realizes how dangerous the situation really was.

"I felt like I was shaking because who knows what he could have done," said Jimenez.
