WICKENBURG, AZ - Authorities identified the two BMX riders that were the other victims of a crash near Wickenburg that also killed an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter pilot.
DPS says Rickey Bates and Gary Dimartine were driving Tuesday night to Phoenix from a trade show in Las Vegas when their SUV tried to pass another car on U.S. 93 and crashed head-on into the DPS vehicle.
Bates, 25, was from Floria and Dimartine, 24, was from New Jersey.
The crash killed 46-year-old Matthew Uhl of Chandler, who had been flying for the DPS since 2006.
DPS officials say Uhl normally works in the Phoenix area, but he was going to Kingman to cover a shift at the department's western regional air rescue unit.
