TUCSON, AZ - A Tucson woman is facing a second-degree murder charge after police say an infant she was babysitting was left in a bathtub and later died.
Zada Davis originally was arrested on a child abuse charge after she told authorities she found 10-month-old Winter Breeze Azure floating in the tub on June 12.
Tucson police say the baby girl was removed from life support and pronounced dead Monday.
The 27-year-old Davis was booked Tuesday into the Pima County Jail.
Davis is accused of leaving the child alone in the tub with the water running and with toys in it for the infant to play with.
When she returned 10 minutes later, Davis claims she found the child floating in the overflowing bath.
Police didn't immediately know whether Davis has a lawyer.
