TUCSON, AZ - Tucson police say an officer fatally shot a man suspected of beating two people with a baseball bat after the suspect refused to drop his weapon and continued moving toward the officer.
Officers found two men suffering from serious injuries early Wednesday morning when they responded to a call at a mobile home complex in Tucson.
Police later found the suspect in the backyard of a home and say the suspect refused the officer's commands to drop the weapon.
The suspect was within seven feet when the officer fired his gun and struck the suspect several times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
