TUCSON, AZ - Authorities have identified a man who was fatally shot while sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle last weekend.
Tucson police announced Thursday that the victim was 50-year-old James Shultz.
Officers responded to the scene Sunday afternoon and Shultz suffering from obvious signs of trauma.
He was taken to a Tucson hospital, where he later died.
Detectives say Shultz and a woman passenger encountered another couple at a store.
An argument broke out in the store's parking lot and Shultz was shot.
Police say 32-year-old James Lee Derrington has been arrested in the case and is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Investigators say Derrington and Shultz knew each other before the shooting.
