TUCSON, AZ - A man suspected in a child molestation case in Pima County has been arrested in Washington state.

During a sex offender roundup operation on June 30, authorities say 26-year-old Jacob V. Benson was taken into custody by King County sheriff's deputies.

He posted bond in Washington, returned to Tucson and turned himself in to authorities.

Pima County sheriff's officials say they received a report of a possible child molestation on March 10.

They say Benson allegedly molested a teenage family member multiple times over several months.

Authorities say the alleged victim had spent time with Benson in his hometown of Carnation, Wash.

An arrest warrant was issued for Benson for suspicion of attempted sexual assault and Pima County officials asked King County authorities for help in apprehending him.
