TUCSON, AZ - Authorities say a mother fatally shot her 17-month-old son and 4-year-old daughter and then injured herself.

Tucson police declined to release the suspected motive behind Saturday night's shooting and declined to explain specifically how 25-year-old Perla Morales carried out her self-inflicted injury.

Investigators say 17-month-old Richard Rosovich Jr. died at his home, while 4-year-old Emma Rosovich was pronounced dead shortly after at a hospital.

Morales was booked on two counts of first-degree murder after she was released from a hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
