TUCSON - Tucson police are investigating a shooting involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents that ended with no one hurt.
Police say in a statement that they were called to help ICE agents who were planning to stop a vehicle near Interstate 19 and Ajo Way late Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Maria Hawke says as officers were arriving, the vehicle began moving and ICE agents tried to get it to stop. That's when at least two agents opened fire. Hawke says they thought the vehicle was a deadly threat.
No one was hit. The vehicle crashed into a pole in a bowling alley parking lot.
Hawke did not release information on the how many people may have been involved or if they were arrested by federal agents.
