TUCSON, AZ - The U.S. Border Patrol says it arrested five illegal immigrants later identified through fingerprints as sex offenders. The five were taken into custody in Southern Arizona over the weekend.
The Border Patrol says all five men were identified as Mexican citizens and all were in the U.S. illegally.
The government says fingerprint checks showed various sex offense charges in the U.S. against the five suspects.
The names of the suspects were not released by the Border Patrol.
