TUCSON, AZ - Police say 13 people protesting Arizona's new immigration law have been arrested for blocking downtown streets in Tucson.
West Congress Street and Granada Avenue were closed for more than an hour Thursday afternoon because of the protests.
Police arrested and cited the 13 protesters while others were told to move out of the roadway.
Police told The Arizona Daily Star that 12 of the protesters were cited for failing to disperse following police commands. One protester was cited for threats and intimidation. All were cited and released.
