SIERRA VISTA, AZ - Southern Arizona authorities are searching Fort Huachuca for two men after an SUV struck at least one Sierra Vista police vehicle and nearly hit a police officer.
Sierra Vista police tell KGUN-TV officers were called to a residence Tuesday afternoon and as they attempted to contact people at the residence, an SUV drove through a closed garage door and hit a police vehicle.
The police department says the SUV driver aimed the vehicle at a police officer who opened fire.
Authorities chased the SUV into the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Fort Huachuca property.
The SUV overturned and both men fled.
Police were unable to locate the men and authorities are conducting a search.
