Two men arrested for smuggling heroin and cocaine

SAN LUIS, AZ - Two men are in custody for allegedly trying to smuggle narcotics into southern Arizona through the San Luis Port of Entry.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers say 30-year-old Noel Solis was arrested Monday after nearly 33 pounds of heroin was found in his pickup truck during a secondary inspection.
A narcotics detection canine alerted officers to the vehicle, which authorities say contained 11 packages of heroin valued at more than $440,000.
Solis is a U.S. citizen living in San Luis, Mexico.
CBP officials say 57-year-old Gregory Rico of Yuma was arrested at the port after almost 42 pounds of cocaine was discovered in his SUV during a secondary inspection. They say the 18 packages contained cocaine worth in excess of $380,000.
It's unclear whether the men have lawyers yet.
