ELOY, AZ - A man from Mexico is facing charges after sending Pinal County authorities on a high speed chase.

A Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy on Thursday tried to stop 25-year-old Juan Sausedo-Perez for a traffic violation.

The suspect then took off at a high rate of speed and the deputy eventually lost sight of the vehicle.

A short time later, the vehicle was found, however Sausedo-Perez was not inside.

Deputies and Border Patrol agents tracked the footprints through the desert and located the suspect about a mile away hiding underneath a tree.

He was then arrested and booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.
