TONOPAH, AZ - Authorities say as many as nine dogs attacked a woman Friday morning while she tried to feed them in Tonopah.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the attack happened around 10:30 a.m. at a home near 350th Avenue and Buckeye.
The woman received multiple puncture wounds and was airlifted to Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman is reportedly renting a trailer behind the home and went to feed the dogs.
Air15 video showed authorities taking the dogs away from the home.
Animal Control officers used nooses to keep the dogs under control and put them into cages.
Neighbors said they knew the dogs were aggressive, but were stunned by the attack.
"It's awful. I have never heard of anything so bad," Cindy Spell, a neighbor said.
Deputies tell ABC15 it's unclear if charges will be filed since the woman went into the house, but it is likely the dogs will be euthanized.
