TUCSON, AZ - A Marana woman could face prison time after pleading guilty to charges that she whipped and used handcuffs to lock her 14-year-old stepson to a chair.
Sugey Guadalupe Santos-Cordova will be sentenced Feb. 22 by Judge Howard Fell of Pima County Superior Court.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that she pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of child abuse and one of kidnapping.
Her possible sentence ranges from probation with two years in jail to up to 20 years in prison.
Her husband, Federico J. Ballesteros II, Ballesteros was sentenced to six months in jail and seven years' probation after pleaded guilty last June to kidnapping.
