WINSLOW, AZ - Federal Aviation Administration officials have confirmed that one person has been killed, and another seriously injured in a plane crash in Winslow, Arizona.

According to FAA spokesman Ian Gregor, the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The home built Cozy Canard III plane crashed at the end of the runway while taking off from the Winslow-Lindbergh Regional Airport

Gregor said there were only two people on board the plane.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the accident.

The victim's identities have not been released
