ARIZONA CITY, AZ - More than 60 marijuana plants were seized and two people were arrested for growing the illegal drug out of their Arizona City home, the Pinal County Regional Narcotics Task Force says.
Earl Bridges and Kelley McGahan were arrested Wednesday after detectives followed up on a tip and served a search warrant at a home in the 11500 block of West Coloma Road in Arizona City.
Once inside the home, detectives found 62 marijuana plants, ranging from two to six feet in height. One pound of the drug was also found along with a weight scale, five rifles and one pistol, according to detectives. The approximate street value of the seized plants and marijuana is $25,000.
Detectives say Briges told them “he grows and smokes the marijuana on a daily basis as well as having his friends over to smoke it with him.” McGahan admitted that she “is addicted to marijuana and smokes it every day.”
