ARIZONA CITY, AZ - The death of a woman after a fire in her Arizona City home has been ruled a suicide.
Pinal County Sheriff's officials say the woman's body was discovered by Arizona City Fire District crews after they put out the flames at about dawn Thursday.
The adult woman was home alone in her duplex when the flames broke out.
Authorities say examination of the body shows the woman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and not from the fire.
They say a handgun was found under her body and a farewell note was found inside the home near the body.
The woman's name is being withheld until her relatives can be notified.
