BISBEE, AZ - Cochise County investigators are working to identify a body that was found inside a burned home Saturday.
Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Carol Capas said investigators found the body around 1:30 p.m inside the home in the 1000 block of Hidden Valley Ranch Road, just outside of Bisbee.
The caller who reported the fire told authorities he was not sure if the homeowner was inside the home or not.
The man said the fire could have happened anytime between Wednesday and Saturday afternoon.
When deputies entered the home, they found skeletal remains in the debris.
Capas said the remains were taken to the Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to identify the victim and determine cause of death.
Authorities said this case remains open under the Cochise County Sheriff's Office and more information will be released as it becomes available.
