2 escape injury when helicopter flips into Arizona lake
Two people escaped uninjured when a skid hit the water and the helicopter flipped upside down into the water.

LAKE HAVASU, AZ - Authorities say a pilot and his passenger were able to escape from a helicopter when it flipped upside down into Lake Havasu in northwestern Arizona.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, 40-year-old Michael Robert Christiansen of Phoenix was flying the helicopter while his passenger Michael Rabo took photographs of a watercraft on the lake on Saturday.
Rabo finished taking photos and Christiansen turned the helicopter around to head southbound.
After making the turn, the helicopter lost altitude and the skids made contact with the water, causing the helicopter to flip upside down into the water.
Christiansen and Rabo were unhurt and able to get out of the helicopter.
They were rescued by a boater in the area.
The wreckage was recovered and the incident is being investigated. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified.
