NOGALES, AZ - Border patrol agents arrested two people recently suspected of smuggling a total of five pounds of narcotics in their underwear.
Nogales Station border patrol inspected a commercial shuttle and discovered the driver, an 18-year-old man, was reportedly concealing a pound of methamphetamine in his underwear.
Thursday night, border patrol at the Deconcini Port of Entry arrested a 23-year-old woman on suspicion of smuggling four pounds of heroin concealed in her bra.
Officials estimated the drugs’ value at $70,000, according to a Customs and Border Protection press release.
